ThePoles.com is reporting that Borge Ousland and Mike Horn have, at long last, reached the North Pole. The two have become the first men to reach the North Pole on foot during the Winter. Unsupported no less. It took them three months, mostly traveling in darkness, to reach their goal. Along the way, they have faced incredible cold (of course), buffeting winds, aggressive polar bears, injuries, and equipment failures. You can read more about this impressive journey by clicking here. I can't wait for a book about this epic expedition. Congrats Borge and Mike!
(As a side note, this marks my 100th post! Yay! Go me! :) )
